hay moontanman i am mainly asking about the smaller of the sturgeons liike the shovelnose and sterlet. which ever one i can get. do u have any????? i would love to buy some especialy one of those that only get 12"

where'd u get the sterlet?

The LFS. Tong's, on Vernon and Vermont. That was the first time I'd ever heard of them getting any (AND it was on my birthday, which was awesome). They got two and put them with their koi. I bought one, and when I went back three weeks later, the other one was completely emaciated. The koi eat up all the food before the sturgeon can even have a chance to find it.

If I ever get some shovelnose I'll try to get at least 50 or so and I'll let everyone here know. I haven't seen shovel nose sturgeon for at least 10 years. But I am always looking...

Yes, koi would almost certainly out feed a sturgeon, in a pond they might compete if you feed them heavy but in an aquarium the koi would out feed the koi every time I am sure.
