Why is it that it's cool to have all those fish cramped in Japan, but if it's someone in the states who has the same set up, it's "overcrowded" or they need an upgrade?

They often have filtration that is 3 times the volume of the tank!........If you do this we wont hate ya ........Its just the way it is.

The divider has holes in it so the bio load would be dispersed as it would in any normal tank. It is quite the funny pic though. Giving a twenty dollar fish the same tank space as much bigger much more expensive fish. But hey at least they are trying to keep the little guy alive.
Dumb*** he meant 99.9999% of the bio-load creators, the actual fish,i'm sorry, i should'nt be mean to retarded people.

You are only talking about filtering metabolic by-products to keep them alive. These are fish that weigh pounds and grow to 3+feet long,oh boy, lets "keep them alive' and cram them.......and who's gonna be impressed by this, only other fishkeepers, and we're rare so it's not worth it,or right. So you have a 500 gallon sump for your 250+....so don't ***** about animal/fish rights when you do this. It's the equivalent of me puting you in a closet but letting you breathe out a window!!!!!!

Insulting other members is not the way to get respect around here.

I am sorry( to the mods especially who had to deal with my childishnesS) and to all those offended....acting the way i have is betraying my signature.....all i can say is this site is really OWNER responsive.

I think the idea is to limit the tank space.....in order to remove aggression.....this way the fish keep bumping into each other, and can't get into the head to tail aggression stance.

Then gradually increase area, as the aros get used to each other....

Ideally by the time the divider is removed, they aros are co-excisting without fights at all.....

I agree, ive heard of that method being used here.
