Success rate on grow outs?

Keep temp at 80 not 84. Hope for best. Don't do water change for two weeks after you get them. Good luck.

please don't take this advice. 80 is just too low for juvi pbass. I raise all my cichla in the 88-90 range. IMO I wouldn't keep a juvi in less than 85.

PS. those are not tems. the one fish that's blurry in the 2nd pic on the far left looks to be a tem tho.

Hmm... What do you guys think they are? Looking at the juvi ID sticky they didn't look like it either.

What do you guys think of this one labeled as ocell

That's what I was thinking too. Seems like they must have mixed up the ocell and tems label.

For the price you mentioned, imo you are most likely getting your Juvis from a LFS that knows nothing. Those juvi look like farmies. That means the risk of all kinds of hybrids. Try shopping around more before making your decision.

i supliment my Pbass diet with beefheart and they love it. mine are 3" and won't take anything else apart from that and bloodworm!!

88 to 90 degrees that is way too hot. There not raised in a hot tub. You guys are saying that keep it 86 an up for iCh but if they get iCh there's a good chance there not going to make it. I always go 80 to 82 degrees. It worked for me most of time. But if you get a lot of different batches your going too loose some. I always keep them heavily oxygenated also.
