  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Sooner or later every species of smaller snakehead ends up in Pascal's hands ;)

good job!
also, what does a Mimetic pulchra look like? I've never heard of it before. Any photos? thanks

Hi.......

Channa spec Ice&fire are not really tropical,or subtropical......they are in between.....

They do not like tmeperature lower than 17°C......and they breed around 22°C

Channa spec Redfin is a little bit tougher....they have no problems with 15°C...

Ch. spec Mimetic pulchra is a bycatch from the pulchra region....it is not find in the trade.......you need to have connections!

Here are some pictures......the name mimetic pulchra is because of the striped pectoral fins and becaus of the eyespot in the Dorsal.....

But the are not close to pulchra....because pulchra is not a mouthbrouder!

hey Palleman,

welcome back, nice to see all the pics of your four breedings in one Thread !
Hope You will stay her more often, so I do not have to answer all the channa questions ;-)

I'd like to have some of the lipor and mimetics, but dont have any space, cause I gained some obscura and will get some german bred striata, soon. Which pushes me to go fishing in some tanks to get put the single speciemsn and but them elsewere.

Maybe I have some time next year for a few meetings, but this year I have to visit the species of channa helveticus ;-)
