Excellent news sir, i love how nearly all juvi channa seem to look alike, id look at any of you babie shots and look at my own ornatipinnis shots and think they were all the same fish....
Love the fire n ice, look really nice

HI, i have a curious question for you.. did all your snakeheads breed @ 22°C? what were your parameters? any tank mates besides them? thanx for any info in advance..
btw.. great looking fish & congrats!

Hi,Prometheus.....

I just keep subtropical species......so yes, most of my snakeheads breed within 22-24°C......no heaters installed, very energy saving!
Just some of the tropical ones (orientalis,Platinum and panaw were kept at higher temperatures!)

i use normal tab water,no chemical stuff inside.....german water is one of the best in the world, drinkable and clean.....
Hardness around 8°, ph level around 6-7.....
So no magic....
I keep all of my snakeheads as a couple.....normally no tanakmates.
If you want to breed, you have to keep them seperatly, otherwise tankmates might get killed....
my tanks all look natural,no plastic plants or other stuff that does not belong to aquariums....just real plants, wood,& stones....
the adults were fed with frozen or live food every 2-3 day.....depends on temperatures...
In wintertime the temperatures drop down to 16-17°C ,because I keep my fish in the basement...

So thats all.....

Regards!

In regards to the Panaw, Have you breed them. I am attempting a few breeding projects at the moment including Panaw. If so could you provide me with some info in regards to parameters and temp etc.

I do wish I could read German as I think there is a wealth of info on German forums.

Thanks
