Like diesel said clay pellets. Lava does work but also get clogged fast so it's not as efficient as clay or ceramics.

When I go to check out the rays what are some things to look for? Do I choose the largest one or smaller one?

And the last picture is a motoro at a shop.. Most likely won't purchase him as they're asking like $700 for it!

That's the problem living in Vancouver. Most of our fish stores are crazy expensive.. I started buying some fish from the states

Yes these aquatops are impressing me. The gph at 525 isn't the best but the amount of bio it holds and uv is pretty good
