Suggestions for stocking 55 gal Mbuna tank

I'm planning on having a mbuna tank, and i'm open to hearing opinions and ideas for mbuna selections. Theres lots of cool africans, but i want to stock lake malawis. thanks

Im not sure if thier malawi but peacocks are a personal favorite of mine. Also, venestus.

they are nice, but i think mbunas would kill them

yeah they are less aggressive. i have them with my mbunas,, but i have a lot of hiding places, and the peacocks are biggest

If i had anything mixed with my mbunas, i would want a few red empress (1 male 2 females) but i still don't know if it would be a good idea

Peacock cichlid are the best

You could do a group of kenyi. They are very beautiful looking even when young. So you don't have to wait for them to color up

You could to peacocks with yellow labs, shouldn't be a problem.

how many kenyi should i get if it will be a mixed mbuna tank? like 1 male 3 females?

Peacock cichlid are the best

in your opinion, but i'm stocking mbuna and theyre not going to mix well with peacocks
