Lol Numb3rs always with your swarf cichlids.. im not that into cichlids but im willing to give them a try..ill see if they sell them anywhere near me

and anyone know of smaller "sharks"? that can fit in a 36 gallon i really want some : (
 
Nope. Rainbow/black sharks grow over 7".
 
And thats too big for my tank?
i have a ruler here and it seems i could fit a couple in there comfortably and i only wanted 1 anyway..you sure?

Black sharks get 16-24 inches. 7" is an understatement. I've never seen rainbow sharks reaching 7". Where have you seen a 7" specimen?
 
Whoops, meant red fin sharks/black sharks which is a name used for the same fish if I'm not mistaken.

This is why I loathe common names. They're too vague and several species carry the same name.

Black shark-Labeo chrysophekadion (24 inches)
Red tailed Black shark-Epalzeorhynchus bicolor (5-6 inches)
