  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
ookkk so i was wondering, if i got like two dolphin haps about 1 inch, two blue peacocks same size and 2 red peacocks would i be able to add like a larger peacock in a week or two? or keep them all the same size? also how many should i put into the new tank at first or doesn't matter

why two peacocks the same color. Best to try to get different colors, otherwise some will be dull.

Adding a few large ones at once is fine. Just not a lone.

well they will be babies and i wont know if they are males so just get two for better chance of a male then get rid of the female or ugly male :D

diffinately get a frontosa, and go with sand (im pretty sure they make sand that is ideal for african lake cichlids). other than that, I'm not too into Africans (yet, just a matter of time).

and nevermind the "make a profit" post I made before. working for a fish website, you'd never get to own a tank for yourself if you had that attitude.
i agree

Do the hap and peas or tang tank. I don't like mixing them either. I like the albino bristlenose or chocolate bristlenose. They do not out grow your tank and clean really well. If the fish don't read it they caused it to be written, so must be a reason. Different water and different diets means someone is not happy. I think people should stop thinking about their wants. I think they need to think about the fishes needs for happiness and contintment.. God gave them to us lets respect them..

gotcha, i really like the colors of the peacocks and haps but the personality of the mbunas, ahh so complicating. leaning towards the peacock and hap tank since it will be in the living room and pretty. then who knows i might get a 90 for some tangs. i really want to find a zebra pleco :D

I have to disagree. Peacocks and tangs can get along fine. Haps as well. It all depends on the mix. I have peacocks and haps with julies comps and lelepuis. Tangs are breeding and peacocks look great. I feed NLS without problems. Been this way for over a year in the new house and 1 1/2 before that.

Forgot the bigger the tank the better for this.

I have 120s 110s 135... Not big but enough for a select amount of fish.

i see, so no comments on any of those fish i posted? at least im keeping it to peacocks and haps :D fish i have to have are, thick skin from lake victoria and a venustus, then will probably at a small royal pleco along with this hybrid african cat i saw at my lfs. do you think the "thick skin" would be way too agresive or could i give it a try and same with the venustus. got my filters, l.e.d moonlights, timer, heaters and python yesterday in the mail! almost there tank comes next weekend :D
