Ok well as some of you may know i have been talking about moving completely away from fish and going strickly into reptiles. Well that time has come. as of today my fish will be moved into new housing(my little brother tank haha).

so now within the next few weeks i would like to fill there void. the thing is i am torn on what to get. to start off it will have to be suitable for a 30 gallon enclosure for about 2 months i also have a 40 long i could use as well. same depth as a 30 just 4 ft long. and then it will either move into the 75 gal. or the new enclosure i am building. whose dimensions are 56"L, 25"D, 29H. or it can be stood on end and the enclosure would be 29W, 56H, 25D.

So far i have been considering another iguana speices, either a cuban, a grand cayman hybrid, or a cuban/ cayman cross( if i can find a good breeder for them.
Ive also been looking into tegus again as well. the encolure listed above will most likely serve as a grow out enclosure for what ever is bought.

Im having a hard time coming up with aboreal speices that could be kept in the enclosure i am building.

anyone have any suggestions? im trying to consider everything possible.

Lets hear those ideas!

are beardeds out of the question?

but if u dont like beardeds how about some ackies?
a 74 is atleast 4 feet long a 2 feet wide correct?
thatd be good for an ackie or two
or a bts

beardies are great dont get me wrong but not wuite what i am looking for. the 75 is 4x18x20 i believe.
ackies ive thought about. im just not 100% sure i want to get something that eats 100% animal protein, which is why i am considering another iguana species. ive been poking around on kingsnake and nothing has really caught my eye as of yet.

Problem solved. I sent you this Fed ex.
All kidding aside I think Tegus are great and the golden tegu which I think I have actually seen seems very hardy and neat.

have you considered Uromastyx?
they have great personalities and are very hardy and active

are you opposed to snakes?
you could get a BCI for the big tank

and for iguanas maybe a spiny tail?
black spiny tails FTW

uros have crossed my mind. ive had them before and i loved them, i liked the better than my beardies IMHO.

Snakes i cant have. still live at home and thats the one thing i cant have. ive been keeping herps for about 16 years and thats the one thing i cant have. i blame my parents for getting me into herps. they got me my first lizard when i was 6 haha. and at 22 im still going strong lol.

i have been looking at spiny tails. they are real interesting. ive never had one before, but always wanted one. so thats a possibility. im also really considering a Cuban. and theres a cuban hybrid on kingsnake i am considering.

By spiney tails do you mean the black iguana or spiney tail uro?

I have never seen spiney tail black iguanas .
I have heard they are indestructable but never tame like green iguanas .

What about a good old jewelled Lacerta:D
