Nowadays the only caymans you get in the private sector are hibrids with both the cuban and the cayman brack iguana, even if sometimes they are like 85% cayman, so you dont need permits as long you can prove they are cb ;) This is one lizard I somehow must get my hands on someday:D But its a far away dream considering that in europe even cubans wich are more comon cost like 600 euro:(

by spiney tail i mean spiney tail iguana.

coura i just emailed the guy from dragon attack to see what he currently has avalible. maybe he will have something in my price range:D. i still have a little while to look. im planning on using my tax refund to pay for this herp

Can't you get permits to keep Cayman Blue Iguanas? Those are just absolutely BEAUTIFUL!

as coura stated no permits are needed since they are hybrids. i know that the brac caymen iguanas cannot be transported accross state lines with out permits. if i could i would get one of them

lol i was just joking around with people saying i was going to get a croc or a gator lol..

I am no fan of them as afraid of them but give them credit . There were many this am by waters edge .
Though they were simply sunning someone told me due to cold 3 consecutive nights we had they wait for iguanas in early evening to go to water to heat up.

In daylight they keep 20 feet away but at night they come right for you or linger just feet away under water (which is why I no longer fish at night lol)

I think you would like them if lived in warm climate with backyard pond . They certainly are "thinking" reptiles.
