It feels like we've lost something man. As a species i mean. Allot of things in society are down right disgusting. Almost 0 value.

We had a long talk with the kids last night. My son was really upset. He didnt understand why someone would do this when adults are supposed to protect kids. I wanted to put my fist through a wall

This isnt the 1st time. Over the summer there was one of a women giving clear instructions on things the kids could eat or drink that would end it... and suggesting they do it.

I also found out about this yesterday.
I couldn’t watch the news video, but it said a guy in glasses? Is this one not about momo?

Yesterday morning before school my daughter asked if I would download the kids YouTube on her phone. I have the regular YouTube blocked.
I read the parents reviews and saw one mom said that the start off with kid appropriate videos then go into graphic and violent ones. So I said no.

A few hours later I see a mom post a warning on fb about momo. A scary chicken girl, not really any better way to describe her. She supposedly tells kids to get up in the middle of the night while their parents are asleep and turn on stoves, hurt themselves and other horrible things.

Turns out my kids already knew about momo. Not that specific stuff since they seemed to have seen more mild videos. But we still ended up having multiple long talks yesterday.

I’m still incredibly pissed over it. What is wrong with people?

Oh yeah this one has me fired up big time. Im aware of momo. This one is a normal kid vid then halfway through the guy with classes pops on the screen describing the best way to slit your wrists. My daughter has the kids app and my son uses the regular app. Hes really into the nature vids and game stuff. Its a shame because theres allot of great stuff in there for kids. We're torn on how to handle this. My daughter learned more gymnastics stuff from youtube than she does going to classes. This just sucks

I feel the same way. Very torn.
The kids use YouTube to help with their games, learn science experiments, clay art, ect.
I feel bad because however I try to work this out they are feeling punished for something that isn’t their fault. And that makes me angry.

For now they can only use YouTube on my tablet or on the living room tv with me in the room.
All gaming systems and remotes are handed over at 7pm. And not given back till after school.
I’m still trying to figure out what to do or how long to keep heavy restrictions.

Interesting.On the news the other night there was a report of a woman who with the help of her 19 year old daughter strangled to death five of their relatives,including two young children.It was suspected that the woman had come across some kind of "death cult" site on the internet.
The woman and her daughter killed the others and was still in the apartment with the bodies when authorities entered the unit for a welfare check on the two children.
The woman reportedly said that they all wanted to die.
