big fish in small tanks really don't move around very much better off with smaller guys
+1 on the Acara's mine ate out of my hand they were actually one of the most fearless cichlids I've kept. They're always out front.
Rams are nice too and they have electric blues as well if you've been bitten by the electric blue bug like everybody else
Brasiliensis Honduran red point Aistogramma's IDK maybe a Jack Dempsey they got those in electric blue too but I wouldn't go any bigger than a JD

A few Firemouth are gorgeous if you do it right. Or you could do rocks and have a convict pair.... Then you would have fry to feed to other fish

A small group of Guianacara sp. in that tank would be awesome. Some of the most interactive cichlids that I've ever owned.
