Looking for a fish that can survive in a sump.
The chamber I plan on using is about 20g 14x18x24 and had fairly quick moving water.
Temp is 82
Last requirement Is it has to be a garbage can as far as eating

Help Me out guys

Ghost shimp. Ive always kept em in my sumps and they are great at eating detritus. Keep a sponge between chambers and they will breed rapidly and keep it cleaner

they cant breed in fresh water, the larva needs brackish water, so i would use cherry shrimps, and block any holes that can cause the shrimps to die..

I keep small amounts of salt in my tanks but never much... I used to scoop out probably 50 a week and throw em into my display for a snack. When I broke down my 55g a long time ago I got all the leftover ghost shrimps I caught between the sump and piranha tank I brought them to the lfs and they stopped counting after 100 and gave me credit for 300. You sure they need brackish water to breed?

Well typically there isnt much in a sump to consume... most fish can survive in there if fed but I dont know of any that will live off the microscopic detritus

Small pleco species would be kinda cool.
