Sump Help

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
U dont need two pumps but having two gives you a little redundancy incase of a failure

I guess I'm confused because I don't understand how water is going to travel through the sump with the way I have it set up right now. I have both sets of overflows set up exactly as they are in the pictures I attached.

Oh and my pump is a DCP-8000. The return pipe is 1". I'm also unclear as to how high my drain pipe out to be set?

It looks like the durso was already set to the correct height. I think you should be fine to go ahead and fire up the system to see how well it works.

Great pump choice. I run two of those on my 220. I recommend getting another one to replace the one that got damaged. It’s best to run two pumps for refundancy. I would start the pumps at 50% each, or 100% for the one right now.

Can you clarify the size of your drains and your returns. You said they are both 1”, but they are definitely different sizes in the picture.

Did a quick search so im not sure if this is accurate but max gph on a dcp 8000 = 8000 liters or 2113 gph.

Can you please post a picture of the entire sump, including where the drain line drain into the sump, and where the pump lines pump water back up into the tank?

I turned on the pump and it just drained the water from the sump into the main tank, but little to no water is actually draining into the sump from the tank.... I think I have the stinking pump plumbed into the drain not the return.

The return is 1" and the drain is 1 3/4"

kewpiefishypewpie kewpiefishypewpie take more pics of the ovwrflows. The plumbing and the sump. More pics the better. Dont start anything up yet. If anything start from the lowest setting.

Looking at the graph a 1inch pipe (estimate not exact) is gonna move around 600gph you have two so your gonna wanna find out what gph ypur pumps loqest setting is and start from there.

millerkid519 millerkid519 DN328 DN328 you guys have any experience with durso ? Is flow restricted to a degree or is a 1 inch durso gonna move the same gph as a 1inch none durso ?
