thanks dr. joe....lol

how much gph should i have iu was thinking 2000 total?

:)This is what i came up with.It will have about 525lbs of gravel and bio area is about 48X18x21h.What do you guys think.:)

That pond will be appox 8000 gals. (if my math is correct). Try to get 1 full turn over. The problem w/ such a small filter box is @ 8k GPH it just might blow the doors off that filter. Like Guppy said, use a large trough or build a smaller pond that is basically a wetland filter. Fill w/all kinds of plants to have crystal clear water. If you do use big trough or sm. pond filter, make sure it is located above the main pond. A smaller pond below the main pond can easily overflow in a power outtage or heavy rain.

ok any trought you recmed any websites i could go too to check them out.

how about this the first pond will be mech filtration then the next will be a bog/ bio area, about 1312lbs of gravel it be about 36x36x36. first be only about 24x24x24. what do thik of that idea.

Check out www.aquascapesinc.com, probally no pricing for you since they are a wholesaler. You will see several idea's for bog/wetland filters. These will be your best bet for a large pond such as the one you are planning. Check out the aquablox, they can be used to take up space in the filter so not to have to buy and move so much gravel. This site will then be able to link you to a retailer in your area. I have used them for years on several ponds and they are the dookie. Natural, eco-friendly, and very effecient and crystal clear water. GL.

i didn't see anything like that on that website.
