Sump level keeps going lower than Pump Intake?

Ran into a problem like this in the past where in a few days my pump would be slurping from not enough water. The stronger the pump the hotter it runs causing more evaporation with no cover on your sump, then causes your return pump to slurp.

How I fixed "my" issue was run a drip system(sump has an overflow) and made a custom cover for my sump for less evaporation.

Every situation is different and you might have to upgrade your sump.

exactly what I did....2 primary drains and 2 emergency. Complete overkill, but it kept the wife happy knowing it won't flood the house
 
Same wife huh? I guess MFK shares more than info.

So what kind of cover did you come up with?
 
I agree either tee right after pump and dump some water back into sump to reduce tank flow a bit or add another overflow to the setup. Sounds like overflow pipes are too small.
 
I totally forgot about this thread, but I wanted to stop in and let you guys know I fixed this problem thanks to your advice. I added two small ball valves to each return line after the T off the pump. This way I can adjust both sides to my liking. I haven't had the pump sucking air anymore.

You have another problem, the FX5 in the picture, when it turns off to let the gasses out it lowers your water level because it fills up to replace the gasses. I had the same problem, I would hear my FX5 purge and then my sump pump would cavitate air because of low level.
