Sunfish with a Sengal Bichir?

I wouldn't risk it. Sens dont really do well with aggressive fish. If the Sunny doesnt outright kill him theres a good chance the stress will.

What kind of sunfish? What size of tank? What else would be in there(fish)? I have had both together at one point but there was alot of places for the Bichir to hide and so i took it out and placed in another tank to see it.I have also had them with chiclids and no harm was done to any of them.

I have an empty 55 and Ive been trying to make a good stocking list way in advance so I know exactly what Im gonna get. I plan on live planting it and haveing drift wood and caves in i. I was originally thinking 1 Senegal Bichir, 1 Kribensis, 1 Gold Gourami, 1 Bristlenose Pleco, 1 Raphael Catfish. Now Im thinking maybe 2 Sunfish instead of the Krib and the Gourami. I live in Connecticut and I think they may be Green Sunfish.

So do you think I could have 2 Green Sunfish with 1 Senegal Bichir, 1 Raphael Catfish, and 1 Bristlenose Pleco in a heated 55 gallon?

Green sunfish can grow to around 12" (too big for a 55) and can be very aggressive. I wouldn't risk it.
