Sunshine/Goldie Breeding project..

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
ok.. finally got around to taking pictures of the new cave.. I've also included some out of water shots, was doing a water change and cleaning the area where my goldies were hanging.. thought i get a quick snap of them...

I also notice my male has its eyes slightly injured... possibility a result of a fighting with a clown loach.. which i removed.. but will continue to update on their progress...

Enjoy!

Looks nice Jon.
They hanging out in the pot?
The fins on the female look huge. Mine are nowhere near that size compared to the body.

ya.. as they get bigger their fins and sails become a lot fuller and wider...

I've only notice my males swing by the inside of the pot.. my females is still too shy.. she hasn't yet..

This project looks good so far, but plecos can require much patience expecially when dealing with harder species too breed.

Good luck, i will be sure too check on this thread once in a while.

thanks for the kind words! Ya.. i know its gonna take a long while.. probably not gonna happen this spring or summer.. my females is still young.. she's not fully developed yet.. And neither is my male..

Will do an upgrade on the tank this summer since i have a 180gallon that bought.. just need to find a stand.. or getting around to build one..

BAD NEWS.... update..

Breeding project hulled.. Major tank bust over the weekend.... Had a Earthquake in socal.. and my tank some how suffered.. the back panel was busted and cracked....

Had to move all my fish to my emergency back up tanks.. I already have a tank that replaces my old one.. A 180 gallon to be exact.. but had to rush and build the stand over weekend... For now...

To be continued.. :(

That sucks man.
Remember for insurance purposes it was a 300 gallon tank.
At least that is a bigger tank.

ya.. well i knew the tank wasn't gonna hold because the center bracing for the tank fell... haven't had a chance to glue it back on and fix it.. but now this happens...

I'll post pictures up later on.. but it was a good thing i caught it early.. it didnt seem like a big thing until i saw water on the floor and somehow i knew there was a crack...
