Sunshine goldy

Having seen 10 inch fish listed at 200 it's not bad. For 12+, snook is looking for 250 which I think is too much. But I have also seen them for less then your listed price.

As for panaque and l14 aka Goldie aka sunshine, I have a 150 where I have a 11 inch Goldie and 10.5 inch watermellon. The watermelon is the dominant fish and just pushes the Goldie out of the way when he wants something. As long as you have enough room and wood for territory you should be ok.

I say go for it definitely would get it if it were me I have a 150 gallon with lots of would andabout 20 plecos and different species and little to no confrentation

They have opposing diet requirements and Panaque become more aggressive with age/size and are more heavily armoured and powerful. I wouldn't do it.

X2

And that price is very good.

that is a decent price 7 inches is a good size. In a 120 you should not have any promblems just give the royal his wood, What is cool about sunshines is that they don.t hide much espicially when older. Pretty plecs.

It all comes down to how healthy he is.

the royal is very healthy and im assuming it a panaque from the mouth only idk of any other tells. The goldy was just brought in to the LFS last friday im going back there on tuesday

Royal is just the common name for most of the large Panaque.

A 120 is not that big I've seen some of my Panaque chase others around relentlessly. Not worse than my hypostomus but they can be pretty bad. If you don't have another tank to separate them if trouble starts it could end very bad.
I would also QT the Scobi before you add it to the tank.
