if ur in the states it will be hard to get one you would have to ship one in and pray that customs wont look in ur package

I'm totally new to Arowanas so i had no idea they were illegal, i thought only asian aros were illegal, are they the same? what Arowana should i get, tank size isnt a problem im getting my 450 gallon next week

Probably better to ask around privately for this one due to the legal issues. But I'm guessing price will be a lot higher then other countries due to the difficulty in obtaining one in the USA. Also be careful not to fall for a scam.

I thought "super red" referred to a breed of Asian arowana.

you could get a silver arowana, black arowana, or a african arowana, but there hard to come by

I'll probably go with a silver, but just out of curiosity why are the reds/asians illegal?

cause not too many in the wild any more due to many things like over fishing and so on

First it was because of their endangered status and now there is no logical reason as plenty are bred in captivity. So I'm guessing it's because politicians have other issues to address rather then legalizing Asian arowanas.
