super sport motorcycles

Displacement is the size of the engine. If you've never ridden, I would advise you to start w/ a smaller displacement bike. In fact, you're probably better off with something like a used Suzuki SV-650. It's a naked standard w/ lots of low end torque, decent mid-range to high end power, and it's light (350 lbs dry), so it's perfect for a beginner yet has enough performance that you won't get bored with it quickly.

Here's an article on the SV650:

omg...thats so small and has nuttin of wat i want in a bike.but i still got wat u said

learn on a kawi ninja 250cc first or something before taking a spin on anything else. I would also suggest you look into taking the class for your motorcycles license as it will help you alot. I would also suggest to stay away from yamaha unless you like something that shifts a little bit hard. Suzuki gsxr600cc would be nice for starting out. In my opnion I think suzuki has got a little bit more of a comfy feel also. Pretty much what everyone else is saying. Anyways enjoy, its fun but be careful =)

i will take a look at all the bikes post and read on them ty for now but keep the info coming

You want fairings, get a Ninja 250, but the SV650 will run circles around it. The Ninja 250 is around 38 hp at the crank, the SV 650 is around 85 hp at the crank. If it's your first time riding, the newer 600s are over 100 hp--too much and way too peaky for a beginner, IMO. You can't just go hop on a 1300 cc 'Busa as your first bike. Take it easy and keep the shiny side up. :)

that bike is pretty much my stunting bike....I am running 1 down in the front and 52 teeth in the rear for gearing...LOL and some engine mods, but it is mainly the bike I take into the city ect, but still will kick up and impressive buck seventy on open highway. I like busas but they are a bit bulky for me...great open road bikes though:thumbsup:
i had alot of stuff on mine the guy who bought it put a turbo on it and races it at the local drag strip.. i had mine at 184 but probally could have gone faster but i already messed my pants up enough so i decided to slow down.. mine wasnt made for cornering though i had it lowered and a +4 swingarm on it to give me better pull off of the line.. thats why i am looking at a hayabusa its always been a dream to buy one put a nice turbo on it and go to the speedtrials at bonneville ............

well im only 18 and 1st i wanted a car also sumthing sick looking.tl,rsx, sum accords....then when i see traffic coming home from work..i see a guy on a motorcycle passing along like knife through butter.hmmmmmmmm hmmmmmmm hmmmmm i want that also.motorcycle=more dangerous then a car.still 65/35 over a car.here r also sum more bikes i found that fit my likings..

Here's the Motorcycle Safety Foundation website:

http://www.msf-usa.org/

They offer motorcycle training programs where you get to use their bikes. All you do is take the written test to get your learner's permit, enroll and take the MSF class, obtain a certificate when you pass the MSF class, turn it in at the state DMV to get your license. Then you can have some riding experience and your license in hand when it's time to shop for your first bike.

I sell motorcycles including supersport machines for a living. I personally am now riding an HD after 5 years of sport riding. My last bike was the one you first showed, gsxr1000k5 LE. It was stupid fast, clicking 100mph in first gear on a six speed tranny. Any questions feel free to ask. The new gsxr600 is a very comfortable technologically advanced machine, I highly recommend it. The honda 600rr would be the most rider friendly though, get onit and learn the easiest for "supersport". Sucks you aren't closer or you could come check out my shop, its the largest japanese dealer in the tristate area! you buy a bike from me so I can buy another fish! LOL. I'll post pics of me and my 1000 later

im not exactly sure of what is realyy in those but to me it seems like the nicer the bike is the more likely it would cause me harm.........

be back on saturday maybe.time to sleep and then go to work for my vehicle.

first of all you shouldnt trying tobe cut traffic untill you are a very experienced rider people die on these things everyday.. and not trying to be rude but being young and dumb on a very powerful and fast bike will get you hurt bad.. i have been riding bikes since i was 10 years old when i started out on a dirtbike.. and got my first SS at 17 and i am still not very comfortable cutting traffic at anything but low speeds so dont try and be crazy till you have alot of experience on them...
