Ya I have a few carnisticks in with the SW to eat. I'll try get him back on pellets but give him SW as a treat. But how much do u feed as a treat? 1, 2?

SW's can get addicting for Aro's. I found that if I feed too much SW that my Aro's won't even touch the pellets, even with extended periods of not feeding. If you REALLY want your Aro back on pellets, stop feeding it SW's.

He's not even eating SW anymore. I think he's stressed. I think my 11" indo dat is bullying him.

If the back end of his body/tail droops, is that a sign of stress?

But why is everyone so against feeding SW? If the SW is eating pellets isn't the SW good for the aro?

I dont think anyone is against feeding them SW, its just that they are less convenient and more expensive than pellets. example: 2.2lbs of hikari food sticks ~$40 and 1000 superworms is going to run you ~25-30 depending on where you pick it up from.

Ok. So basically down to cost and easier

Superworm are not good as a staple diet for aros as the head of the SW is pretty hard to digest and can cause protuding anus or even worst constipation.

I always wondered about the head.

Guess ill continue starving.

Yes, it maybe stressed. An Aro should be swimming horizontally with no ends drooping downward. I noticed that my Aro used to not eat after feeding it a huge helping of SW.. I'm thinking it has to do something with the SW's head not agreeing with the Aro's stomach.. Just give it some time.. Or add a little Epsom salt to help it pass the SW's out. He should be eating again soon.
