This is exactly what I was going to post.

The OP will end up paying 4X his fish purchase when his wife gives him her bill.
seem like there are some very lucky guys in my Vietnamese fish forums since they spend alot money on fish but their wives still happy about that cuz they are fish keeper too!

Yea my wife lets me buy whateva I want...I even got the fish tank in out room right next to the bed. But whenever she wants to go shopping I gotta let her get whateva it is she wants !

My husband's very supportive. Well, it's more like. "Do you really need this?" "Yea dear, I mean we need this second filter to keep the new 240gal filtered right." Or "come on honey, please? It'd make OUR tank look so cool!" Women have manipulation powers on their men that men can only dream of. ;). We smile, look sexy/cute, awwee, honey please? And then, volia! I get my 240gal tank, 2 hrs away. Other things are involved in getting my way:naughty:. If my hubby sees this post I'm totally busted! JK, I'll just smile, bat my big blue eyes, and he'll forget all about it. Easy as pie. And the best part? He doesn't even realize I'm a mind ninja:headbang2 But now he wants to spend $800 on a phone and he's playing the,"I got stuff for your hobby" card. Yea, my entire setup and animal costs wasn't that much. Not a good argument... Marriage is a great thing:D Love ya honey!:D

Maybe my husband feels lucky that i'd rather have a cool fish than a diamond necklace. And I find clothes shopping boring.

This is how mine feels I"m sure.... That and I get the fish I want. And when he finally gets up the nerve to get a PS3 or flat screen he's been wanting. I won't bat a lash knowing he let me get my fish first. I'll prolly go help him pick it out. Even if he asks me " Why is that fish so expensive? are you sure?" I know if I give him an honest answer that makes sense he'll generally give in as long as the "fun money" is there to be used. I got a Fahaka puffer for valantines day, and he surprized me for my birthday this past week with another Gar.

I got a ps3 for my birthday! But yea he wanted the giant tv, I wasn't to keen. Went shopping and I ended up being glad we got that tv! That's funny!:D But I don't get fish for my birthday  Instead he asks me what I want. I tell him surprise me, cause I never really know, and he always choses well so. It's ok. Gotta love our tolerant husbands:thumbsup::cheers:

My girl is ok with me spending what ever I want on fish or tanks.
Since she is a stay at home mom and happy to not have to work, she lets me spend (as she puts it) my money on whatever I want.
So as long as I keep a roof over our heads, food on the table, pick her up the things she need, and of course keep her 75 gallon angel tank looking good, she is happy.
Of course I pick her up something special from time to time. After all, she is my girl and the mother of my youngest daughter. But Im glad she doesnt have a problem with me buying what fish I want or tanks I think I need... lol
HMMMMM, wounder what I would do if she didnt let me.. :)

My girl is really cool with it. before we met she did not know a thing about fish keeping. now she likes to go to stores with me and likes to help pick out fish and even help buy them. she wants to set up a tank at her place now also. i think i scored a keeper

My fiance isn't too fussed about fish (I managed to get him marginally interested when my minnows were fin flashing today!) but we don't live together yet, so I think when my tank is in our front room he'll be a little more involved in just how much of our budget is being spent on them :P
