I thought I'd share this. I went on a hunt to buy a rotkeil severum, and ended up with the fish pictured first (bought from pretty much the best store in Tampa). I went online and bought what is supposed to be a notatus, and ended up with the fish pictured second (bought from one of the best breeders in the country). So, things have a funny way of working out.

Where in Tampa do you pick up your fish at?

Marine Warehouse Aquarium. I also got the (beautiful) temporalis, the (mean but awesome) petenia splendida and the (shy) ornate bichir from them. They generally have a good selection, and fish are healthy but for the occasional ICH outbreak in their tanks.

I've heard of them several times but have never actually been there. I normally stick to the Brandon stores.

Second pic could be a red-headed severum. Mine as a juvie (still is) had much of the same banding and red coloration (except now it's amuch darker "blue").
