The media involvement in regards to getting people stirred up (and my comments about the regular flu were to offer perspective).
As I noted earlier, drunk driving deaths, type II diabetes, and smoking account for shocking numbers of AVOIDABLE deaths every year, but the media barely covers them (watch for it).
Statistically speaking, swine flu practically doesn't even exist. You could multiply the deaths so far from swine flu by about 100 and get just one years worth of drunk driving deaths.
Hell, more people have been killed in Mexico from drug cartel violence so far this year than swine flu.
