Why did you just put your foot in a shoe, and then try to guilt trip me? If I thought you were a I would have said you are a

What got to me with you is, the notion that anyone who shows concern, or even mentions this, is, " living in fear" And I think it was "waaaaaaaaaaaaaaa" and " oh noezeez"

I will start growing up ASAP..........

Yea....I'm just already in a pissy mood from another forum. I thought you were calling me aI still don't know if you were, but don't really care.

I am just so sick of the internet-peoples in general. No matter what I say, someone will find offense to it, or just completely miss the point I was attempting to make.

Meh.enough please....

And my "waaaaaaaa" comment, wasn't directed to you anyway. It was to society in general. You weren't complaining, lol...

Nope, you are not a retard in my book. I get your point, I just don't see where anyone panicked (sp?). I just felt like making a thread about something we all could talk about. If you need a break from the net, that is normal. I post like 5 times a week lately. My fantasy teams are in last place, and my E-mail box is giving me anxiety...The sun is out, it is good to be alive.

Lol, I'm not THAT upset...This is just a pet peeve of mine...Every time you turn on the tv, all you see is people trying to intimidate you. The shows "I shouldn't be alive", news, movies, discovery channel, etc. I mean, we have people who are scared to death of spiders, crickets, mice, snakes, swimming in the ocean, blah blah blah. And for what? Why? When did we become so afraid of everything? Yes, fear is healthy. In moderation. But it seems like as a society/culture (and I'm not talking about just America), we let fear control every aspect of our lives.

Thank goodness I can still touch my butt, AND eat my bacon too! I am living in the rarest air right now.

What did I screw up about Ebola? I'll grant that I'm no pro on the subject (though I did make a sock puppet video in 10th grade about it).

From CDC:

After the first case-patient in an outbreak setting is infected, the virus can be transmitted in several ways. People can be exposed to Ebola virus from direct contact with the blood and/or secretions of an infected person. Thus, the virus is often spread through families and friends because they come in close contact with such secretions when caring for infected persons. People can also be exposed to Ebola virus through contact with objects, such as needles, that have been contaminated with infected secretions.

Nosocomial transmission refers to the spread of a disease within a health-care setting, such as a clinic or hospital. It occurs frequently during Ebola HF outbreaks. It includes both types of transmission described above. In African health-care facilities, patients are often cared for without the use of a mask, gown, or gloves. Exposure to the virus has occurred when health care workers treated individuals with Ebola HF without wearing these types of protective clothing. In addition, when needles or syringes are used, they may not be of the disposable type, or may not have been sterilized, but only rinsed before reinsertion into multi-use vials of medicine. If needles or syringes become contaminated with virus and are then reused, numerous people can become infected.

I fully agree with this, though influenza is THE exception. The general mindset is "WTF, It's just the flu." when it's much more.

maybe that is just the type of stuff that people watch...but believe me in the real world there are many many brave people... not afraid... the media does this to society because it sells for people to be intimidated and afraid... just like all the bad stuff.. it makes us all feel that there is more bad then good... but theres a whole lot more good in this world.. but good is too busy being good to make news..

Innocent Discussion about swine flu -> heated discussion about scare tactics of pandemic ready diseases (natural progression of conversation ends here) -> the oral/fecal route as present during consumption of non-kosher breakfast products -> ebola

I'm going to have to go think about this one...

The moral of this story is don't eat bacon in the bathroom.
