I don't get what the big deal is, really. All the hype is just causing mass hysteria.
From what I've read, it's a new strain of flu, but it's no worse than regular seasonal flu.
It's not incurable, we have anti-viral medications (oseltamivir and zanamivir, cited from the CDC website) which not only eliminate swine flu it, but can prevent it as well.
The only people susceptible to death from the flu are the same people susceptible to dying from regular flu, which includes the very young and the very old (those with weak immune systems).
Seriously, people need to calm down. When I read in the news about places shutting down I ask why? Why don't we shut down every year during flu season?
The only precautions we need to take is to carry around travel size bottles of hand sanitizer and throw it at the head of anyone who sneezes into their hand and carries on like it was nothing, and when they look up at you all pissed off, just glare at them and shake your head side to side.
