Switching from one pellet to another trick

When i mix and freeze the bloodworms and pellets it seems that the pellets separate once thawed. Does that happen to anyone else? I crush up the foodsticks and mix with live bloodworms then freeze them. I then put them in the cone feeder and break off small chunks.

Probably because the pellets get soggy before it freezes.
