I've had four of the Synodontis cats: Eupterus, schoutedeni, angelicus, and brichardi. I never saw the brichardi. It was like a ghost. The angelicus came out sometimes. But the other two swam around and were nice additions to the community.
I agree ..the Eupterus are very lively and social.... this shoutedeni must be on the rare side.. he is so cool... my frontosus is somewhat of a rare type synodontis... he has to be alone in his own tank... he never leaves anyone alone... he is 12 inches and all he wants to do is play with the fish until it kills them... :D

Here is mine when she was little, she's about 4 times bigger now, but just as nice looking, the pattern and color hasn't changed at all

well i do love mine, but i didnt realize how big she'd get, her tank is only 36 inches long! i love to look in her BIG eyes, hahha.
haha, and they do have big eyes... how big is she..

I have had mine for about a year. I got it with a 10gal setup for free with a pleco. I don't know if it is blind in one eye or what. One eye is blue.

cool one Brian, it looks blond colored, hahah

in answer to Red Devil my girl is about 5 1/2 inches i guess and bulky of course. so i suppose 36 inches isn't so bad for the tank length. i keep it vacuumed once a week and it's loaded with plants :) she lives with a group of Endlers and one Triple Red Apistogramma cacatuoides
