I just got a 7in synspilum with a few other cichlids. A firemouth, convict, Oscar, and 2 quite large jack Dempsey's from a friend who is responsible doing there tank and starting over. I absolutely love her so beautiful even though her color is not all there yet my friend said it was changing. But all my other cichlids have never been shy except the convict he hides but I expected that but this one doesn't want to come out for food for anything she just hides now I've had it for a couple of days is this normal or is she still just getting used to her tank. Anone have any info on these fish that would be a big help.

Normal. I had fish who were super shy and then real beasts later and all they want to do is swim up to you.
Thnx for the reply do you know how big she will get cuz I've read online and they've said several different things between 8 inches all the way up to 15 inches or 18 inches
