Ouch. My dad was a 30yr union carpenter and growing up all I ever heard was "never wedge the cowling". I thank God that because of him teaching me young I've always had a serious reverence for skilsaws and tablesaws. Hell, to this day my 22yr old little brother won't hang around when I'm using my tablesaw or skilsaws.any saw get you, I was a roofer for 26 years, I had a skill saw with a faulty switch and was doing a shake hip, had the cowling pinned back, I got 5 courses up and turned around to start working it up the hip, i pushed my scrap to the side and a shake hit the switch on the saw, saw stayed on, went over my ankle and chased it self off the roof. 9 months in a cast.
does no one use a push stick any more or is that just me?
