Messed up on title suppose to say hap not happy oops

I usually just wait until I find the fish with eggs in her mouth or becomes fully colored up to tell if the peacocks/haps are male or female, but my Taiwan reef seems to really want to stretch out the time for one of these to happen.
So my question is how early/readily will taiwan reefs lay eggs?
I have some peacocks that started at 2 inches or so, but my Taiwan reef I got around 1.5 inches hasn't layed eggs and is pushing 4 inches and hasn't colored up yet at all (I know some fish take a while or just don't color up)

Probably the lower ranking Cichlid in the aquarium so won't color up or Female.

It might be a lower rank but that would suprise me as it is the 2nd largest fish and I've only seen it chase other fish not the other way around .

The rounded fins make it look female to me. Mine was fully colored when I bought it, but lost it, even though he was bigger than most fish, about 6", and did his share of chasing others. I was about to trade him in, but over the last few months he has got most of it back.

At what size do female Taiwan reefs start to lay eggs? Or would a need a male taiwan reef to trigger spawning behavior?
Thanks

Looks like you guys were right, I think she has her egg tube down in these pics, she's at about four inches in these pics.
Thanks for the help
