This tank was mention couple time in a Japanese Fish Magazine call Aqualife!

In a good way or bad way? :naughty:

I wonder what the filtration is like on that tank? I can see a large intake, which I'm assuming goes to a sump underneath the tank, but the more I look at those pics, the yellow water is concerning.

Is it blackwater treatment (owner trying to simulate amazon basin)? Or monster waste?

Wes, you do have some good valid points and you pointed out that the tank is too small for those fish. I see that you are trying to open minds to other issues and that's cool. In keeping fish and animals as pets it's up to us as keepers to provide the best living space, food, conditions etc. The animals soley are dependant on us. It's common sense if a fish or animal can barely swim or turn around in its environment, then it needs a larger home. If you don't understand or see this then like I said, you should not keep animals as pets. Go buy a car or something non living.

And yes, I would rather dry up and die than live in a tiny little compartment my whole life. I also see you taking stabs at my large tank with large preds. Yes, all my fish are large fish and some will outgrow my tank. But for now they have alot of room and swimming space and when that time comes I will move them into a larger tank or sell them or give them away to someone who has a large enough tank for them. Just so you know since you seem so interested and worried. What do you plan on doing with all you monsters in your tank when they outgrow it?

I never mentioned your name, but you like mentioning mine. I think you don't read my posts very thoroughly, so you take things out of context, oh well.

My large predators, I plan on keeping them in the tank they're in, I don't foresee any issues. Some will grow much larger and eat the others, and if not, maybe I'll eat some of them  what difference does it make, feeder gold fish which many of us use, food fish which we consume, and cows, which we breed, raise, just for milking their teets, and slaughtering...

You know and I know who you were talking about so don't play stupid with me about not calling names. Everyone knows who you are and me.

Regarding your second paragraph above- that is a pretty dark way of looking at your pet fish. Maybe you should reconsider keeping fish and buy a new car like I mentioned. Oh and I hope you don't plan on having kids in the future because their are some cultures that believe and practice canabilsm and this would give you justification to eat your own kids from the reasoning you have been mentioning in all of your posts.

Somebody pointed me to this thread, and after reading through it, I would have to conclude that fugupuff, your argument(s) are flawed because:

1. you compare apples to oranges
2. most of your points bare no relevance to the topic, and actually are attempts to skirt the issue
3. just because some people do particular things doesn't justify their actions (doesn't make it right)
4. you generalize and may not have intimate knowledge of the history of many/most of the fish/aquarium situations (i.e., housing is temporary, occupants were not actually grown in this tank, etc.)

To get into specifics against your argument(s) would be a moot point considering your responses thus far.

But alas, most posts on these forums are opinion based, and you have your right to your opinion on the "do's and don'ts" and "why's and why not's" of fishkeeping.

Have we figured out a tank size yet? I still wanna know how big that tank really is. That might be the biggest damn apple in the world!

I remember this thread!
