Headrush, I think you're more than fine. Everything you've said in your posts in this thread is exactly why I love MFK so much. It's not the same rehashed gibberish that everyone accepts as gospel just because that's how it's always been done.
Those guys at the other forum would hate to see my 55, lol.
1- 7" Parachromis loiselli (Loiselli) female
1- 6 1/2" Cichlasoma octofasciatus (Jack Dempsey) female
1- 6" Amphilophus festae (True Red Terror) female
2- 4" Aequidens rivulatus (Green Terror or Gold Saum) males
2- 2 1/2" Parachromis managuense (Jaguar), sex still undetermined
1- 4" Astronatus ocellatus (Common Oscar), sex still undetermined
1- 5" Synodontis eupterus (Featherfin Catfish), sex still undetermined
All these guys are going in my newly setup 190 this weekend. They've been in the 55 for over a month now with ZERO issues, aggression or otherwise. I think this is because they're well fed and the water quality is well taken care of. That, and they've each got their own little space in there they call home.
I started collecting these fishes over a month ago when my 190 started nearing the end of it's trials and tribulations I like to call "set up". I'll more than likely add a female Parachromis motaguense (Red Tiger Mota) and a female Cichlasoma salvini (Salvini) if I can find them.
Don't let those other guys get you down. Do what works in your world, not theirs.
