The fish also swim couterclockwise or clockwise in an aquarium hugging the outside tank margins. If it is going counterclockwise and jumps toward the center then the right eye is damaged. If it is going clockwise the left eye is damaged. They have to jump toward the center because they can't jump to the outside margins. Simple
