Received my second order from the new TUIC and I'm super happy. Buy with 100% confidence. Kevin is good to go. Yes, there have been some issues, but they were entirely UPS' fault, not Kevin's. Looking forward to order #3 ASAP. Happy new year, fish friends!

The 5th and final package from that day was finally just delivered. 5 days of cold January travel .. doa unfortunatly :(. It contained 6 geophagus species.
Client said we had no leaks and packing was all solid. Just very polluted, cold water as we expected at this point.
This client opted last week to receive replacement fish since I had more of what he ordered. He has also put in a second order for different species that we are finalizing. ;)

Considering what has happened and how long it took to be delivered,I believe you did everything that would be expected from a decent vendor and then some.
 
That is unfortunate.

The Managuensis I received are swimming around and are health looking so far.

I am amazed that they left Kevin's store on Friday 1/3/20 at 5PM and were eventually delivered to my house and in the tank at 11AM on Tuesday 1/7/20. That's 90 hours.

Average temperature was 37-45 degrees over that time period


I'm thinking that this species is tougher than most but that is a long time.

The bags were securely wrapped and paper was all around them inside the Styrofoam box. Plus he added two heat pack's.

90 hours!!!

First of all sorry for your losses on both sides of the fence; however, my recent experience with TUIC has been really good. I bought a bunch of Xiphophorus Hellerii and a small group of Hypsophrys Nicaraguensis. I did lose a couple of swordtailsj (which was truly expected) which were immediately refunded with no questions asked. The packing was spot on and temps were fine. I would have to say Kevin is a stand up guy in my circumstance. All the fish are doing well and demonstrating some strong personalities for such small fish.

This is definitely a UPS snafu. This seems like an occupational hazard for online vendors. Despite the UPS problems, it looks like he went to great lengths to make the situation right and amend the problem. Accountability is a rarity these days. Hats off.

I will definitely be using TUIC in the future. Great experience here.
 
I just got my first order from tuic, it was a little scary for a minute, but it all worked out. Somehow, ups messed up my address and in its place had a random mix of numbers and letters. So the tracking number said they were rescheduled for 1/13 until we contacted ups with the correct address. Kevin@TUIC Kevin@TUIC was on the phone right away getting it fixed and went as far as having a courier pick the box up from the ups hub and bring it to me. He then called me back to make sure it was delivered. From about 10 am this morning to about 1:45, I probably spoke to Kevin 5 times. He was there the whole time to make sure everything worked out.

The packaging was top quality. I've never received fish packaged so good. To top it off he even threw in a few extra fish. I already have another order ready for him and I have no doubts this will be handled just as professionally as the first.???
