For 9 years I had a 9" blood parrot(I know everyones feelings on hybrids so save them) and he was the fish that got me really into the hobby, anyways last summer he moved on(actually he's still in my garage freezer) and I'm starting to miss having a large centerpiece fish. I have a 125 with 2 fluval 405s that are crammed with purigen and biomax and I'm looking for suggestions to got with the following stock.

1 - ebjd 4" and averaging 1" per month
1 - female nic 4" and most aggressive in tank
2 - 5" sd
3 - geophagus rio tapajos 4-5"
4 - sword tails
2 - com pleco

Give it some time and that JD will be the new centerpeice

A severum or fenestratus would do well in your set-up.

I've heard some horror stories about chocolates so I'm a little hesitant on them despite their reputation. I hoping to find something around that size but with an appropriate temparment(read gt on zoloft). I do a lot of research and get confused on some things for example you hear lyonsi aren't that aggressive but on fish I've never kept I don"t know if they mean not that aggressive for new worlds or amps which is a world of difference.

I like the fenestratus idea, really like the looks of paratheraps

another blood parrot!!! he is the centerpeice of my 30 gallon growout. maybe a salvini? or some firemouths? an acara is an idea?

he has a ebjd let that guy growout an he would be the centerpiece of any tank.

A salvini is on my short list, maybe the leader if I can't find something that gets around 12". I like how the blood parrot followed people and could be hand fed, however with so many fish I haven't kept I'd like somehting new.
