Tank Bowing

The problem is it would be almost impossible for me to tear down the tank unless i could get some help, but everyone i know is always at work or they are just useless, and there is no way i can manouver pieces of glass that large. Any way that might make it work without me completly dis-assembling the tank would be much better. However if worst comes to worst i will redo the whole thing.
As of right now it is still full and no problems yet. Hopefully it will stay that way until i can figure out what to do.
 
I think worst case scenario is that i will have to take it all apart and reseal the whole thing, in which case i will just take the 2 biggest pieces of glass and make 2 100 gallon tanks (8x4x4).
 
sorry 2 1000 gallon plywood tanks or maybe 2 500 gallon tanks. Could i keep aro's in a tank that is 2 foot 5 wide???
 
k well i will make 1 that is 4 feet wide, and one that is 2 foot 5, that way i can get that one thru a normal size door, the other just might have to be put into storage if we ever mover somewhere that only has regular size doors, and no large windows. (This is still only gunna happen if there is no way for me to fix my big tank as is, and it is still holding water.)
 
I just got a good idea one of my buddies works at a glass shop here, and he said they use uv glue to glue glass together, i looked it up and it looks like it would work. It does say not to use for aquariums because the exposure to water will weakin the seal, but because the aquarium is sealed no water will get to the glue so it would be fine as far as i can tell. The glue will just be to hold the glass together, and the silicone will seal it (it doesn't leak right now, so the glue should never get wet)
 
hmmm, that might work, but I am not an aquarium building guru or anything. Worth a shot before you go to tear it down. I would personally think the idea of having 2 500 gal plywood tanks vs 1 500 gal tank would be awesome though. Double your fun lol.
 
Yeah i know but as it is i don't have enough money or time for the upkeep on 2 tanks that big so this is better for now, although one day i would love to do it.
And yeah i figured it was worth a shot to if it doesn't work then i guess i go for a teardown, the glue is only gunna be a few bucks i just need to get ahold of a UV light
 
K well the glue is a lot more expensive then i thought. I was thinking now of gettin a few pieces opf angle iron, puttin pond liner on the inside to absorb any pressure points, and then welding the angle iron to the top and bottom angle iron frames
