What would have cause the tank to brake? The side with the crack had the heater and a sponge filter.

My guess is that it wasn't sitting level.

The tank was on a level stand, I check it with a 4 foot level. Could it have been that there was more gravel on one side? This sucks cause I was playing zombies on my ps3 when I started hearing water drops.

stand was bowed up in the middle.

Yeah would have to not be level. else the tank was built incorrectly but normally the sides crack then not the base.

did you have foam under it?

Over a year then put down for 3 months and recently put back up for 1 month

What was the tank sitting on without foam?

Idk it has that black trim american tanks have but so maybe no foam was required.
