TANK CRASH HELP!

I started treating the entire 125 with but moved the silver aro to a quarantine tank. Aro is not looking good but showing occassional signs of promise. The QT is being medicated as to your directions.
My p. sengalus is doing great in the 125. No symptons of anything, relaxed gill function. Active and happy and seems to really be enjoying the additional oxygen I put in the tank.
After reading about a few ailments I havent heard of, it appears my Gar may have had "wasting disease", as its coloration began to deteriorate. My aro has maintained vivid color and I do not think that the aro has swim bladder disease, but perhaps an internal bacterial infection?

Keep on keeping on man...I am interested in how you deal with this in the end. You are doing great so far, and asking the right questions. And earlier by the "cycle" comment I made, was that it sounded like your tank Re-cycled on you. And that would be more fitting of a title of "tank crashing" the bacteria had been over whelmed and a big die off occurred. Baby silver aros are very sensitive to water...A tank cycling would cause the baby aro to do exactly what he is doing now. In my past experience ALL fish who death roll were in a tank that re-cycled, and were babies....Good luck man.

thanks alot BigSpizz, appreciate all your help on this. The aro seemed sturdy but at only a foot, its still a youngin. Im pulling for him but i really, really doubt its gonna happen for him.
I remember hearing many years ago about a few instances when tanks recycled after around a year, so I am thinking that it is a definite possibility.
Maybe my polypterus is just a beast? Doing great and happy to have the run of the tank it seems...

Poly's breathe air But at a foot, I must have missed the size. Your aro is much bigger than I thought. There is new tank syndrome, and old tank syndrome...I think this is what happened here....Stillm, keep us posted though, and see if you can buy a new API test kit. Sometimes they go bad due to temp fluctuation where they are being stored...
