I have some pure Kosher salt, is this appropriate and if so, how much for a 125 gallon?

The dosing rate is one tablespoon per five gallons, so you will need 24 tablespoons.

Ensure that nothing can leach into your tank. I assume that the wood used for covers and such is not treated with anything toxic

Prime builds up....If you "always" add more than what is called for, Seachem themselves, say it WILL lead to oxygen deprivation....

OK, so should I add a little more, or double the amount, or just the regular amount?
I generally add the recommended doses and maybe a few extra drops if i fill a greater amount then anticipated and because Prime is concentrated.

I would do a 25% change with RO water and see if that fixes it all together...If not...Do it again in a few days....That will break up the excess prime...

Good point. I think Amquel says it too. (This looks like one of those times were ya just can't win.)

Agressor09, add an airstone if you have one. If not, mix the water in small quantities (using the regular dose) in what ever container you have. In the future, get a round trash can or barrel for your water changes. I use a submersible pump and garden hose for my water changes.

Chompers, BigSpizz, Dr. Joe-

So what I am gathering for immediate action is...
1. Add kosher salt @ 25 tablespoons immediately
2. Have water tested for ph, ammonia, nitrite-nitrate, phosphates, etc.
3. Pick up some all-in-one or use some Copper Safe if not available.
4. If other fish die, inspect for parasites or bacterial presence
5. Figure out a way to pretreat water

Is this good?

THanks alol

After reading and googling for awhile, i finally got what is "python". For next water change get 2 equal container with known volume a hose and a submersible. Fill one tank and treat it with meds exactly according to instruction at least 1 hour before. Use a hose to empty the water into the other container. Use submersible to take the clean water back.

I know the proverbial horse have left the barn, but next water change try the exact method.

Be sure to dissolve the salt first with the water change

Change the water with 25% RO....Add half of that amount of salt 2x, 8 hours a part between doses to get the whole dose, get the all in one...Skip the LFS tests if you use API, and steps 4 and 5 are accurate:D and do not feed for a week or so.....Good luck, I hope the rest of your stock makes it....This is a great reason to ALWAYS have a hospital;) Meds and salt require smaller doses in smaller tanks....
