tank ethics

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
hahahaha they are some NAPPY HEADED HOES

And whats wrong with tapping glass? it only irritates certain fish. thats how I let my Pacu know they're about to get some treats. They all swim under the left lid and stay there until they get something good..

couldn't agree more with the nemo comment.

im always at my LFS (cause im a loser like that)(also unfortunate cause they're going out of business) and there's always some paretn too cheap to take their kid to aquarium so they bring em to the pet store. "nemo! mommy, nemo! DORY!!!!!!!"
also when you're at a store and all the workers are helping some familiy out trying to setup a tank that day and put fish in it, and you know that those fish are going to die faster than a carnival won goldfish. and they're all too "busy" to help you; a loyal, returning customer.

People like all of us that think fish are perfectly unstressed and happy behind glass :D:ROFL:

What do you mean I should have a 5,000,000 gallon river behind my house .. People have kept fish in tank for decades !!! How am I suppose to change my water !!! Sheesh... And I though I was a Dumb A!!! LOL:ROFL:

I am just posting here to be a thorn !! :) A contradictory ***!!! :D

I love it when people swim with their fish and other people are like Thats PIMP!!! :D

I love it when people get mad at other people for feeding African Cichlids to there American cichlids :D

I love it when someone spends 2500.00 dollars on a fish I don't even like and thinks that because it is not legal that I am put out !! :D

Especially a week later when they are selling it or getting put on the street for delinquent house payment :) Doesn't always happen but still :) It's fun to think about..
I love it when i don't like a fish and someone thinks that I AM THE HATER when the are clearly hatin on me :D Just because I don't paticularly care for a certain sp. :)

Not that it has anything to do with "tank ethics" (forum etiquette actually), and I'm not really sorry for getting this much off topic, but I can't stand when someone posts 5 consecutive posts when they could have just thrown everything together in one :duh:. AKA Post whores.

To stay on topic, the selling and buying of large fish. Fish not for the average home aquarium. RTC's, Arapaima, Payara, Clown Knives, TSN's, ID sharks, 'gator gars, Aba knives, sturgeon, Arowana, ripsaw cats, Goliath Tiger Fish, Pacu, Napoleon wrasse, etc.
Thousands of these fish are bought, sold, stunted, dumped and killed every year. I really do think their distribution should be controlled. It would save a hell of a lot of fish the agony of being mistreated and killed by ignorance.

I hate the fact that I'm in their store between 3-5 times a week, and they seem to have absolutely no recollection of me or my wife. We have dealt with every single person who works there at one point or another, and still, nothing.

The only person who recognizes us is the girl who sold us our 210. She's great. Everytime we go in, she's coming up to us right away, asking how the tank is, if there are any problems, anything.

I understand that it's a big store with a lot of people, day in and day out, but come on. If I call you by name because I'm in there so much, you'd think they'd at least recognize you. :nilly:

I hate when I walk into a fish store and see a RTC for sale, 10" long and marked as EXTRA LARGE radtail catfish,:screwy: uhh nuh.
