tank lights on at night = animal cruelty?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i think replaceing the original tank light with a strob light to make a rave inside your tank and cause health effects such as heart attack or a stroke on your fish is animal cruelty, but other than that to consider anything else is just a PETA moaning crap load.

Are you talking about you main lights or moonlight LEDs. My fish sleep just fine with the LEDs.

My nocturnal fish come out when they are on. I actually get to see my raphael cat with the moonlights on. All of the other fish will swim for a couple minutes to find a nice spot then go catatonic.

I have moonlights on my reef tank. They shimmer. :)

i also have moon light on my tank. on the day i keep the daylight lamp on unless the sun hits the tank, then i turn it off. but when dusk i turn on the moonlight, kinda purplelish bluish light for the night. my ck loves it when i turn off the daylight and the night light on.

is wat im doing okay or should i change my timers???

the difference between keeping your tank lights on 24/7 and putting a strobe on your tank is the difference between hardcore torture and soft torture.why torture you fish at all?
