cool, just talked to them. he's gonna get me a quote in a bit. he said he has a used 750g complete setup for $3500, acrylic. that is dirt cheap, but tooooo big for my space. great deal.

he did say that a 450g 8x3x2.5 would run me like $5-6k  :screwy:  :screwy: we'll see what the actual price is. ill let you guys know...

ok, just got a quote from TruVu. prices are still too much, i think i'll have to go with glass or head down south :nilly:

- 360g 96x36x24: $2,699
- 450g 96x36x30: $3,349

- 360g 96x36x24: $2,699
- 450g 96x36x39: $3,349

^^^ So how much would that cost glass wise? ^^^

And how many fools do you know to help you move that heavy *** beast?

well truvu only does acrylic, but the cheapest so far is $1300 for a 360g, from Fish Tank Factory in socal, he's a vendor here.

and thats why id prefer acrylic, can you imagine a glass tank :nilly: my plan is to lure a bunch of friends in with food and beer. and tell them if they wanna eat/drink, they first need to help with the tank

ok guys i think i might go with glass on this monstrosity. i dont even wanna think about moving this thing. :(

talked to charlie and if i cant find any used deals locally, im gonna do a 390g 96x36x26 with overflow for $1500. best price ive been able to find :)

JC1 - if you go with glass think about using dollys to actually move the tank so all you are lifting/carrying is from the vehicle to the dolly and the dolly to the stand, or something like that. I helped another member on here move an 8x3x3 500g glass tank. He used dollys and made it possible to move the tank with people.

what type of dollys? like a flatbed kind? i have an aluminum dolly that can roll flat and support like 1000lbs, but its only like 4ft long when laid down. we used this for my 210 and it worked wonders! if only i could find something longer. im sure it would help with an 8ft tank though....
