Hi i have 2 oscars in a 150 gal tank and i would like to know what would be good tankmates for them

Thank you Dennis

I've heard silver dollars work well, but mostly anything that won't fit in their mouth or fight with them over food. They are pretty easy to handle.

I was thinking jack dempsey but someone told me to get them a little smaller
then the oscars so they will not be to aggressive to the oscar

theyre are plenty of plecos you could get, some would brighten up your tank a bit, and there is a large variety/price range/size depending on what your looking for

try adding some polypterus there and see if they will tolerate it. Fast dither fish like tinfoil barbs should work too. Gars another tankmate that always works with Os. Arowanas ???

My JD and Oscar got along great! I had the JD first and their first introduction wasn't that great, but a month went by and they were great together

You could do plecos or tinfoil barbs or silver dollers or what some other people mentioned.

you can add: Fire mouth's, Parachromis loisellei, you can also add cichlids from the Vieja or Aequidens famely.
basicly you can add anything that wont fit the oscar mouth and can defend him self without giving the oscar to much truble

Pacu's. Convicts that won't fit in their mouths... I also have a snowflake eel in with my 9" oscar and no prob.. THe earlier fish I have kept with Oscars.. Now I have what some Keepers don't like much... A non specie racist tank... A couple africans , a supposed Flowerhorn, Convict , Texas, About to pick up a 110 so they can really play!!! Oh ya.. Mono, Scats.... Dempsy's shouldn't be a prob after they all adjust... I've even seen an aro, pacu, clown knife, and oscar housed together in the same 55 octogon... Oh ya cats....
