tank mates for a butti

what kind of cat fish did u try? right now, i have a jardini arowana and a butti getting along just fine, everyonce in a while the jardini will open his mouth and and lets the butti know whos boss, thats only during feeding time when im feeding them freeze dried krill, ........... if ur gonna try cat fish get one that is a little bigger than your butti, try an asian red tail or a wykii, but you would end up needing a way bigger tank than a 180

Either of the 2 bagirids you mentioned will outgrow and destroy a butti.

I got a 10 inch butti...he is in with a breeding pair of jags....The male jag is starting to take on the Butti more and more...the male jag is only 7 inchs....they all seem to get along pretty well though....
