He meant the jaguar cichlids (Parachromis managuense).

Ok thank you ,

could be going back to my LFS next week or week after , so i will be taking the list of fish you all have said would be good , to see what they have in . I know they have a Red devil as i keep wanting to get him/ her every time i go , they did have a tank full of small Convicts about two weeks ago cannt remmber if they got rid of them ( Sold or just got rid of ) a few weeks back , dont think i have ever seen any Pike cichlid or Green terror but i will take the list and see what i can get .

If you had to choose 1 maybe 2 fish off the list you all have said , what would you go for if it was you tank ?

BumP!

Got my two new fiah yesterday , sort of didnt listen to some of you and got the Red Devil i have been wanting for about 2months and a Jaguar Cichlid with great blue/ purple markings .

The Red Devil for about half hour locked mouths and pushed about with the Black belt but after that they have left each over along .

The Jaguar went in to the tank left everyone along with no fighting .

Woke up today turned on the light and everyone is fine like a little happy family !

I will try and get some pictures up of my tank but as i only have a cam' phone it is hard to get a good picture , but i will have ago later .

Everything I read about Blackbelts said they were "moderately aggressive".... Well I put in a pair of Blackbelts with a pair of Jaguars and the male Blackbelt is kicking the living *&^%* out of the other fish. I had to put up a tank divider. In terms of temprament I dont think one could find a nastier fish than a Jaguar cichlid and still they are getting whooped on by the blackbelt.

My Jag' has not been aggressive at all , not touched any fish and now the Black belt and Red Devil are like best of buddies !
