Tank mates for evil oscar?

Rules to live by when keeping more than one cichlid in the same tank:
1. Buy the tank first
2. Get atleast 4-5 cichlids if you can at the same time and as juvies
as this will spread aggression
Personally I would be content with the Oscar and Silver Dollars in a tank that size.
Just leave your stock as is IMO

Something that can hold themselves against the Oscar but isn't aggressive enough to kill them?? - Convicts or maybe african cichlids like auratus or Kenyii? Of course normally the water parameters are different for africans but most of them are tank-bred/raised so they can pretty much handle the different conditions
if your looking for other cichlids you could try fiemouths, salvini, severums(but if the oscars truly evil this might not be the best), jack dempsey, blackbelt, chocolate, acara, green terror(maybe), T-bar, tilipia joka(they stay small), any pike cichlids that would stay smallish.
and i'm sure you already know this, but try not to get any pairs of these fish cause then your oscar might be the one in trouble.
