I understand with cichlids that a little chasing sometimes is normal, so that doesn't bother me. Though hers was genuine aggression, and she was just getting meaner and meaner. So I knew she had to go, but it was such a hard thing to do.
I was hoping with her being female she may be less aggressive, but after she hit the 5" mark I guess sexual maturity kicked in, and she wanted to be top dog.
She was a big learning curve
